People come to this world the same way just like everyone else. There are no other ways to come to this world. People can't just pop out of thin air and be alive. And people also die or leave this world just like the rest of the people. If the people came to this world in the same way like everyone else. So, this should conclude the notion of that means everyone is the same, regardless their gender or color. However, in spite of that, why do some people feel different about one another? Why does a society especially pick on certain groups of people that don't fit their profile? For instant, the African Americans, the African Americans have come along way for their rights. This group of people has fought hard through out time for their rights. For themselves to be treated equally in the society. However, the question today is, what makes a "straight" person any different from a "gay" person? What is the difference between these two groups? Both groups of people are exactly the same, both need food, both need water, and both need shelter in order to survive. The only difference these two groups have is their sexual preference. And because of this hatred or homephobic, it has started a new cold war, which is not aboard, but here at home. A cold war that both sides are equally divided. Through out the years that neither side could have dominate the debate over one another. Various pools have shown that 70%-75 of heterosexual Americans believe that homosexuality is morally wrong (Schroedel 90), but also 60% support basic civil rights and fairness in housing and employment (Lewis and Rogers 123). These two groups of people are so divided that neither can even agree on what is rights or fairness. So, why does the "gay" person not entitle to the same rights or privileges as a "straight" person do? As matter of fact, gay should have just as much rights, as a straight person are entitled under the law or the social norm.
