Illiteracy

Instead of pushing and encouraging a child to learn something. For example to read books or write poems, the teachers do not care. They feel that reading straight out of the textbook is enough because they believe that their job consists of nothing more than that. And this problem with teachers is spread throughout the country. If a college student is asked about whether they remember a certain teacher in grade school who did not care who does the work or what kind of work they are doing, most would answer that they do remember someone like that. Young students need to be given a little push, if not from their parents than from the teachers. If the child is not taught that learning is an intricate part of life, he or she will most likely be unsuccessful in this world. When that child grows up, he or she will think that since the teacher did not care, why should I? The teachers are there to do more than not care, they should push, they should encourage, and they should care. It is their job to care. .
The final possibility of the cause of illiteracy is that the school system is not tough enough on the students. Students are slipping through the cracks of the system and no one cares or even bothers to think about the consequences. Cases of dyslexic students reaching high school and failing do exist. This is something that could have been and should have been avoided for the child's sake. What kind of teachers did this student have that they did not notice a reading disorder? The answer is a teacher who did not care. Yet the education boards are not bothered with these problems. A lot of times they do not even know that cases like this are in existence. It is a shame that the big officials are not troubled with this outcome in the children of their schools. Are these officials so ignorant as to not notice these problems? No, they just do not care. They will rather blame it on the teacher. But then again, do they not care that these are the teachers that are being employed in their schools? No, they do not care.
