Nazi propaganda was everywhere. By spreading myth of race and greatness of fuehrer (Hitler), Nazis wanted to disorient rational minds and to give people new standards to believe in and to follow. Nazis made special efforts to attract young people. They saw in youth future of Nazism. Everywhere young Germans sang, paraded, saluted that they were slaves in their country and only now, thank to Hitler, they are united. Symbolic of the regime were rallies staged in Nuremberg. Endless columns of thousands marched, paraded past Hitler, who stood at attention with his arm in Nazi salute. Everything was performed to impress Germans and world with giant power, intensity, unity and perfection of fuehrer.
             Nazis ruled with terror. Their regime became police state, typified by mass arrests, concentration camps, harassment and murdering of Jews and those who resisted Hitler.
             From 1935, when Hitler declared that Germany no longer support Versailles treaty, he started conquering of the land. By 1942, Germany had almost all of Europe, from Atlantic to deep into Russia. Some parts of this land were completely annexed; German officers ruled other territories. In other countries Germans administered through local officials who cooperated with Nazis. All over his huge empire Hitler established the New Order.
             The Nazis were known by their cruelty. They enslaved people from occupied lands. Close to 7 million people were transported from Europe and put in labor camps. The Germans took valuables, artworks, equipment, food and anything else they could from conquered territories. They exploited the industrial and agricultural potential of these lands to help the German war economy. The Nazis tortured and killed millions of people such as Jews, communists, people who opposed regime. In one Polish province, Germans executed priests and intellectuals, closed schools and churches. The Germans especially hated Russians. Soviet political official were executed immediately, many prisoners of war were put in camps, where they starved to death.
