He was a student at Hogwarts fifty years ago when the chambers where opened for the first time. The diary took Harry inside it and showed Harry who was expelled for opening the chambers the first time. It was Hagrid, the groundskeeper at the school. He is one of Harry's friends. Shortly after Harry discovered the diary it was stolen. Ron and Harry really wanted to find out who opened the chamber after Hermione was attacked as she was leaving the library. They visited her at the hospital and found her holding a piece of paper. The paper described the beast that is responsible for the attacks A snake, capable of killing someone by making eye contact. They went to talk to Moaning Myrtle and she said that she was in a stall crying because a girl was teasing her about her glasses. She heard a noise outside the stall, looked out to see what it was and saw a large snake in a striking position over by the sink. Harry looked at the sink, she also !.
             said that the sink had never worked, he saw a snake emblem scratched on the side of the tap and he commanded "open up" and it did. Harry had found the chambers opening. He and Ron went in. It was like a very slimy slide only about 3 miles long.
