Earthworms


            
             Earthworms are part of the phylum: Annelida. There are other things also included in this phylum such as bristle worms and leaches. They are bilateral, which means that if you cut them down the middle long ways they would be the same on both sides. Earthworms live in most any habitats except the tundra and the desert. They live in water because they dehydrate easy. They have a layer of mucus all over their body and if they didn't live around water their layer of mucus would dry up.
             Earthworms take in oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere through their skin. Then blood cells carry the oxygen and carbon dioxide from cells to vessels. They have a closed circulating system. Earthworms.
