High school is, with no doubt, four of the hardest years of your life you will experience. It is a time in your life where you will be constantly growing and changing, physically as well as emotionally. The key to survival of these four years differs among everybody, but there are a few things you must remember.
Your freshman year you need to get involved with whatever you can. This includes sports, student government, key club, interact, or any extracurricular activity that might interest you. Try to choose something that you will keep into for the entirety of your high school career. This will help you stay on track and keep focused on school. Make sure you do all your homework and go to every class.
Sophomore year you"re moving up in the line to seniority. You are no longer a freshman anymore, but you still are considered an underclassman. As soon as you turn sixteen, make sure you get a car. It's your key to leaving school. Skipping school is definitely a necessity to stay sane, just make sure you do it the right way. You need to become "friends" with the campus security, and after awhile they will just turn their heads and let you drive off. Also, make sure to get a hold of an excused absence admit to forge for your teacher. Unexcused absences are no good, unless you want a detention. Skipping school can be addictive, so make sure you only do it every once in awhile. Try to go to class, unless you absolutely can't put up with listening to your teachers long, droning speeches or it's a beautiful day for the beach.
One, if not all of your best friends are bound to stab you in the back at some point. It might seem like a really big deal at the time, but honestly, it isn't. She's the slut that slept with eleven guys over the weekend anyways. Make sure you let everyone know that too, regardless if it's true or not. They"ll eat it right up. High school kids thrive gossip.
