Diddy" Combs is a huge fan of the New York Knicks. However, the musician made it clear recently that he would like to be more than that.
In what would certainly be a fascinating combination Sean Combs has expressed an interest in buying the Knicks. He made his wishes clear on Tuesday mornings appearance on the Howard Stern's radio show.
Sean Combs said "I think I could do a good job," admitting that his efforts to reach the current owners and discuss the transaction have been unsuccessful. "The reason i'm publicly puttin' it out there is because they're not taking my calls.
"I think the Knicks corperation needs some new blood up in the front office, I'm not saying let's get rid of the owners, I'm saying put me down. Put me in the game Because it's not going down right now.".
The Knicks, who are owned by James Dolan, have missed the playoffs for two straight seasons and have not given their fans much to be excited about in the recent seasons. They were 37-45 last season, finishing tied for fifth in the Atlantic Division. Combs told Stern he believes he could turn that around and make them a finals threat again. There have been no indications that Dolan is planning to sell the team at this moment.
"The Knicks are making rush decisions," P. Diddy said. "I think we need a team that reflects the spirit of the city. We need an aggressive & fast team that knows how to run the floor.".
