In this paper I will be talking about the issues that are conflicting between the Israel and the Palestine nation. I will be bringing up topics like the creations of Israel and the occupied territories, water rights and usage of that water, the cycle of violence that had been going on for many, many years and most likely more years to come, and lastly terrorist activities and the effects and aftermath.
Were starting out with the creation of the country of Israel and the territories The creation of Israel was the culmination of the Zionist movement, whose aim was a homeland for Jews scattered all over the world following the Diaspora. After the Nazi Holocaust, pressure grew for the international recognition of a Jewish state, and in 1948 Israel became its own nation. .
On the next topic, I will be talking about the water problems that Israel is dealing with, they have a lot of troubles, its hard to get fresh water, meaning that its no diseased. Also its is very hard to get the water because they have water restrictions.
Now we are going to talk about the relationship between Israel and Palestine, they have been 5 wars in 40 years!! And the wars never really stop, they just calm down. Since the 1948 War of Independence, Israel has had to fight four wars with its Arab neighbors. The Arab nations have repeatedly expressed their objective of destroying Israel. Israel believes that its very survival is dependent on its ability to defend itself. In 1947 the UN voted 33-13 to partition Palestine into two states, one for Jews, and the other for Palestinians. Jerusalem was to be an international zone. The Jews agreed to partition, but the Arabs did not. Fighting began between Jews and Arabs in Palestine. Jewish leaders declared the independence of Israel on May 14, 1948. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia then invaded in support of the Palestinians. Fighting lasted until the end of that year and resulted in a victory for Israel and a 50% increase in Israeli territory in what Palestinians still call the catastrophe.
