criticism

Everyone in their own way is responsible and guilty of criticism or of being their own critic. No matter if you and your friends view a movie, watch a show on T.V., or even make remarks about something else's dreams and ambitions in life, that all aligns themselves with the concept of being a critic. In any scenario, people become critics such as hobbies, pet peeves, and tastes in certain things. A person's taste in music, for example, can persuade there own judgment and become bias about certain type of music. They listen to one song of a certain type, disagree with it, and become stereotypic of all the other songs in that specific type or artist. A person bias to a certain type or artist then compares every other song to the one he or she enjoys the most, thus skewing their judgment. Criticism has many forms such as: descriptive, interpretive, and evaluative criticism.
Descriptive criticism is criticism that attempts to describe as clearly and accurately as possible what is happening in a performance or work of art. A descriptive critic points out the very specific details of one's work and relates these points to the whole art form. This type of critic observes the overlooked detail gone into the painting, movie sequences, or other form of art. For example, let us take the movie Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. There is a specific flaw in the movie (before the Special Edition version) where Luke is Flying his Rouge ship on the Ice world. In that scene due to the limited technology that we have now the camera inside the ship viewing out showed poor Blue Screen adapting to the white snow of the "planet" therefore exposing the dark lines aligning the Blue Screen display. A descriptive critic, when viewing this screen would have pointed that out.
Interpretive criticism is a form of criticism that "helps the viewer understand how form transforms subject matter into content.
