Analysis of Rose Madder, by St


Rose then remembers she is wearing the gold armlet the woman gave her. She then beats up Norman in an attempt to get ahead of him into her apartment. When Rose and her boyfriend get into Rose's apartment, they are sucked into the picture and forced to run from Norman when he is sucked into the picture too. This time Rose isn't running for her life, she knows what she has to do. Rose leads Norman to a clearing where the woman is waiting, and Rose is told to hide while the woman gives Norman a dose of his own medicine. The woman kills Norman and Rose is finally free.
             After the woman kills Norman, Rose and her boyfriend are transported back into Rose's apartment. A few months later, Rose and her boyfriend get married and they eventually have a daughter. However, Rose's freedom did not come without a price; she is plagued by hideous dreams and visions of what will happen if she does not remember the pomegranate tree.
             The plot in Rose Madder twists and turns and switches perspectives throughout the story. The thoughts and actions of both main characters are shown through the different points in the story.
             In the Beginning of Angel Fire East, by Terry Brooks, the author uses the first couple of chapters to introduce the main characters. Nest Freemark is a young woman who possesses magic powers and is the caretaker of the magic in Sinnissippi Park in Hopewell, Illinois. John Ross is a middle-aged man who is a Knight of the Word, and also has magic powers. Findo Gask is one of the oldest demons in the world, and he is bent on destroying John Ross, and capturing the magic creature that Ross possesses; the Gypsy Morph. This entire story takes place in the small town of Hopewell, Illinois.
             John Ross captures the Gypsy Morph, and demons all over the world are instantly alerted to its presence; and only one demon knows where John Ross is going. That demon is Findo Gask. Gask is in Hopewell trying to persuade Nest Freemark to give up John Ross when he gets to Hopewell.
