Lord of the Flies

"You are a beast and a swine and a bloody, bloody thief." The novel "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding demonstrates the evil inherent in human nature. The boys on the isolated island committed the sinful and sadistic deeds. They possessed a primitive personality because they were under pressure of remaining civilized. The boys were required to govern themselves and create their own society. Their society didn't have any principles of morality and justice. The lawless society of the boys caused their inner force to become menacingly harmful. Therefore, the defects of human nature lead to animalistic savagery when the people's society is disorganized and uncivilized. .
The destructive quality of the boys" actions was introduced in the story as they forgot what the meaning of responsibility and civilization was. Their hunting became more serious than just a practice of getting food. The hunters turned sadistic when they viciously killed a sow, "The spear moved forward inch by inch and terrified squealing became a high-pitched scream." The children who turned savage accomplished the animal slaughter. They didn't care about the fact that the sow was a mother: " The great bladder of her belly was fringed with a row of piglets- This cruel act proved the presence of the boys" inner force in the beast form within themselves.
The uncontrolled society on the island was confronted by tyranny and violence. The boys wore masks of savagery and chose to live in a state of anarchy. Jack's tribe mistook Simon as the beast "Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!" Ironically he attempted to expose the truth about the nonexistent beast. "The beast was harmless and horrible, and the news must reach the others as soon as possible." They didn't realize that they committed a murder of an innocent person. The sequence of killing was used to track the children's turning from innocence to savagery.
