I would first like to say that the Bush Doctrine on Foreign Policy profoundly and ignorantly suggests that the United States should not be associated with and/or addressed by the earnest, and incredibly vital rules that we expect other nations to follow. I believe strongly, and oppose any such creed and I am very assured that many others do as well. To contradict our standard values, which we have determined as a country, would be completely unethical.
It is completely absurd to even begin to attempt to rationalize any such double standard under international respects and conditions. When a nation like America, becomes powerful it seems that all actions are simply justified, however, this is a very incorrect assumption. We have other issues to be resolving in our world. Bush is protesting that the recent bombings in Iraq are "routine" and "defensive" which are something along the lines that America's power justifies any actions. Bush has also said that he is simply trying to "make sure the world is as peaceful as possible," when in fact he is generating more violence. America cannot write its own set of rules and then not obey the ones that the modern world has chosen to obey. It is the exact converse of many things that America has worked so hard to achieve in the past years. This is therefore promoting the deterioration of our society, because the things that we have worked so hard for, as a nation, as people, is simply being thrown away and are being replaced with newer, "improved" if you will, traditions and values that are simply irrational and nonsensical, easier said as unacceptable and idiotic. .
Is Bush not seeing that our society is in the middle of a downfall? Our government, under his eye, is spending a preposterous amount of money rebuilding nations that we are destroying. Figures have shown that the poverty level in this country has rapidly increased under Bush and with the continued record of unemployment why do so many people support him? He's not seeing what is going on in this country, he's only giving diligence to what is going on over seas.
