In the 21st century, modern industry has brought humans quite a few facilities and progresses. It's, however, also made us pay a lot. Among the highest prices is environmental pollution whose impairs people gradually realize more and more since they not only affect us physically and spiritually but also our progeny in the future.
Firstly, there's no doubt that living in polluted environment is harmful for our health. In developing country, where traffic jam is still a serious problem and the air is heavily polluted, the rate of lung disease is always high. What's more, water and soil pollution can harm our health in other ways: by the food we eat. Everyday, we have lots of vegetable, meat or milk which may be planted in polluted soil, watered by polluted water or taken from cows that grazed in polluted land. Perhaps, we can't see anything wrong right away, but in fact, toxicants have come straight into our body.
Secondly, though we are not always aware of environmental pollution as negative mental factor, it does, in fat. Emotionally, no one wants to work or live in a noisy and dirty place, it always makes us feel uncomfortable and irritate. In addition, due to environmental pollution, we also lose lots of our pleasures since obviously we can't swim in a polluted river or go sightseeing in a destroyed wood. In other words, if we exploit nature, it will also take away invaluable thing from us.
Once we agree that environmental pollution can harm us today, we also have to admit that it will also impair our progeny in the future. If the environment, for example, a river keep being polluted, one day it will be totally destroyed. Finally, no river, no wood, no sea exists and humans themselves disappear too. That gloomy prospect is totally possible if humans carry on turning their back to nature.
In brief, the impairs of environmental pollution are undeniable. It harms our health, our mind and the next generation's future.
