She started to cry and it looked as though she was having a nervous breakdown. Soon after she fainted, I placed her on the sofa and wondered if I should call the ambulance. I decided not to, fearing the possibility of getting caught in a deeper mess. I called the store and told them about the truck. They said they were going to send someone down to pick me up. Just as I hung up the phone and turned around, there stood Mrs. Timothy, with the knife in her hand. You could see that her eyes were bloodshot and there was no way she could have been in a normal state of mind. For the first time in my life, I feared for my life. I could see flashbacks of my past, the time I first rode on a bicycle, when I got my licence and slammed into the tree the very next day, the day I won a thousand dollars in the lottery. I thought I was going to die. Everything around me went black. I could hear no sounds, see no light, and feel nothing.
.
I woke up to only to realise a sharp pain in my left arm. At the same time, it felt strangely numb. My left arm had been amputated. The sun was shining and it was bright. I had not seen the light of day for a week. As I lay there in bed, a policeman came into my unit and told me to look through the police report. He told me it should give me an idea of what happened. I was confused. Glancing through the report slowly made me understand what exactly had happened.
It turned out Mrs. Timothy was a wanted criminal. She had criminal records for numerous cases of assaulting people, and taking their body parts. She had been identified as a mentally ill. When Billy, the man who was sent to pick me up couldnt find me, he sensed trouble and went around all the houses he could find in the area. When he came and knocked on Mrs. Timothys and saw the woman open the door, he immediately called the police and punched her in the chin to knock her out. Billys eyes saw the most disgusting sight they had ever seen.
