Education, A Catalyst for Success

This circumstance is one that is extremely uncommon. However, directly leaving high school and finding a job, does not promote future potential. In the case of technology or the computer world, adapting to change is necessary. This adaptation is inherited from a post-secondary education, where endless amounts of skills are taught. The computer itself has evolved from being a tool to an essential business item. The technology standard has shifted to a point where being proficient with the operation of a computer is a necessity, and does not provide an advantage over the rest of the playing field. Whereas an individual without such knowledge or ability to adapt to change is at a distinct, disadvantage, incapable of meeting the demanding standards. Naturally, without an adequate education, future job opportunities are diminished.
Education is not limited merely to the learning of application and general knowledge. The education process is equally important to the end result, as there are certain life skills, which are vital to the requirements that modern day employers are looking for. These skills include time management, organization, teamwork, flexibility, attitude, and leadership, and can be applied to any chosen profession in a positive manner. In today's marketplace, communication is common and requires an individual to be able to deal appropriately and effectively with other people. The individuals that do not receive a full education share the notion that skills are not fundamental to manage an organized life. In rare instances, some individuals do not possess essential skills and are remarkably successful. An exemplar is high school basketball phoneme, LeBron James. Recently drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, James will be the youngest NBA player to play a season game. Deciding to disregard post-secondary education, James will directly play in the NBA. LeBron James has been quite vocal that he does not possess the essential skills of life, and is growing prematurely.
