I can feel the increasing relaxation coming over me as I get closer to my room. There is only one obstacle left standing in today's daily trials. I struggle to pry open the old stubborn door, by shaking the handle to the left and then back to the right. Once through the doorway a, Zen like, blanket of comfort enwraps me from my head to my toes. My fish tank is welcoming me with a soft blue illuminating glow. There are few lights on; it has a cozy appearance. I go straight across the room and sit down on the love seat, next to the fish tank, which is covered by a fuzzy synthetic zebra skin. To the left is my nightstand; upon it lay my alarm clock, some various aromatherapy candles, and a red lighter. I reach over to set the alarm for another day. There is no time to think of such tribulations now; this is time for unwinding. Across the room, in the faint blue glow emanating from my fish tank I can see the dark outline of my cast iron fireplace. I can feel the warmth radiating out from the searing coals buried in side. To the left of the fireplace the electricity from my black light makes my roughly painted space pictures shine with energy. The adjacent wall is mostly just one big window. In the windowsill lie more candles, these one are larger and in a warm array of colors. One of the candles resembles the leaning tower of Pizza, after being half melted one hot summer day. In the center of the windowsill is a pot of little purple and yellow flowers. I start to do the nightly rounds involved with getting ready for bed. I walk across to the far side of the room where the computer is. I watch the screen saver dance around and making a kaleidoscope effect of color. I turn it off and go back to my fish tank. My fish catch my eye one last time, as they swim acrobatics for attention. The scooter blenni is diving in and out of the vividly colored purple, green, yellow, and pink rocks.
