Discuss those career objectives you expect to achieve three years from graduation and how an MBA degree, particularly one from Santa Clara University, will help prepare you for those objectives.
With the drive, determination, and discipline to both work at my career and attend an MBA program, I am excited to pursue a high quality MBA at Santa Clara University (SCU). I am interested in acquiring the skill sets and technical knowledge necessary to become a hi-tech consultant. The SCU program will prove central to my future success. .
Since working for Microsoct Corp., I am interested in advancing my education and carrier through and MBA. Upon graduation from SCU, I would like to advance my career into project management. I see the role of project manager as a transition from a person with technical skills to a person with a combination of management capabilities, and business strategy. As a project manager, I will interact with clients, channel their business views, and develop solutions with my technical staff. Once I have become skilled in project management, scheduling, and budgeting, I will strive to move into a senior management position. Here I will develop my abilities to anticipate client needs and to engineer solutions that address these needs. In approximately 3 to 5 years, I will have the experience, education, and confidence necessary to take on upper-level management positions. In this role I will be responsible for managing the company across different continents. For this goal, my specialization in International Business will be helpful. .
As an engineering major in college, I developed excellent analytical skills and improved my problem-solving ability, but I never had the opportunity to take courses exploring business strategy, finance, or market forces. To realize my career goals, I clearly must enhance my abilities in these fields as well as other areas of business. I believe that the management core at SCU will provide me with the necessary knowledge to enhance and develop my capabilities.
