From testimonies of students, professors and counselors I have heard that Ithaca is a college that suits my needs as an excelling student. Because of Ithaca's reputation, quality and program setup I believe that I can achieve the goals that I have set.
I would like to transfer to Ithaca because I feel that a four-year school is a crucial step to developing my career skills and entering the job market. My major is accounting. I intent to complete my bachelor degree, in accounting, and I am currently aspiring to become a Certified Public Accountant. Right now I am a tutor for accounting at CCC and I have found that I enjoy the accounting field.
I have read that Ithaca's accounting program prepares students for the CPA examination. In addition to this, Ithaca has a reputation of having high quality education, a good learning environment, and excellent library services. Apart from these attract attributes, there are also academic scholarship opportunities that correlate with activities that I have been involved with here at CCC. For example, being a member of Phi Theta Kappa provides me with an automatic scholarship if I attend Ithaca.
I have also noticed that Ithaca's setup provides the possibility for a student to find entrance into a business law program, post bachelor degree. After a number of years of work experience as a certified Accountant I would like to consider entering a law school and be coming a business lawyer. Once again I find that Ithaca has the ability to help me attain my goals and provide a clear path to these ends.
