            WHO"S THE STRONGEST INFLUENCE ON HUCK.
             In the book, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. A adventurous boy name Huck whos set his way down a river with a canoe and goes on a adventure and gets in trouble. On his way he meets Jim a slave who works for Miss Watson but has run away. Huck and Jim goes on adventure together. Later Huck founds out that Jim has the biggest influence on him. Huck soon finds out Jim wasn't a black guy or a slave but a friend. Proving Jim has the most influence on Huck.
             Ever since Huck fakes his death and sail to Jackson Island, there he has been alone until he met Jim. Huck knows Jim because they use live in the same house together but Jim was the slave of the house. There they left Jackson Island and set sail to Cario, a free city. On the way there, they went through a heavy mist where they split up. But they got back together and Jim was all worried because they split up. Huck did not want any commotion so he said "How? Why, hain't you been talking about my coming back, and all that stuff, as if I"d been gone." (63) But Jim caught on and figured out that they really got split apart and he got mad at Huck. Huck finally got enough courage to apologize to Jim about lying. "It was fifteen minutes before I could work myself up to go and humble myself to a nigger. But I done it." (65) That shows that Huck has feelings for Jim because it takes a lot of courage to apologize to a nigger back then.
             On there adventure, Huck and Jim splits up a couple of times. Eventually they get back together. But dauphin, a person they met on their journey sold Jim to a farmer named Silas Phelps for forty bucks. Jim and Huck get split up far the longest period of time ever since the met at Jackson Island. Huck feels dreadful about what happened to Jim and is frustrated. He suddenly realizes that this dilemma must be God's punishment of him for helping a nigger. Huck tries to pray for forgiveness, but finds he cannot because his heart is not in it.
