             Twenty years ago, men jumping from twenty-foot balconies only to crash through flaming tables covered with broken glass might have been looked down upon. However, today this and other similar seemingly insane acts have nestled themselves into mainstream pop-culture and every living room where eager adolescents watch with open eyes. This once taboo-ridden clash of epic warriors has resurfaced with a new look and a new audience. Long-standing feuds between good guy and bad guy are looked over for combatants with no visible care for the well-being of their own bodies and no visible care for the corruption caused to the young viewers that they influence. It took severe and graphic violence to win back the hearts of America's viewers, and professional wrestling did just that. Wrestling's makeover has not just increased the number of viewers watching in their homes, but it has increased the frequency of wrestling promotions throughout the world. Small, regionalized promotions, referred to as independents, have become extremely popular in the last five years and have recruited thousands of young men and women to attempt to live out their childhood dreams and become pro wrestlers. This increased traffic of potential stars has made it where only a small percentage of wrestlers ever make it to a status of notability. To achieve this, the wrestler must standout in either in-ring ability or the creativity of the fictional character they portray. Both of these qualities rely on the imaginative genius of the wrestler himself, and his ability to successfully execute them.
