Bordering the United States, Chihuahua is the largest state in Mexico, being nearly 250,000 square kilometers. The climate is dry to semi arid but there is regular rainfall and occasionally extremes in temperature. The average temperature annually is 68 Fahrenheit. The state of Chihuahua has around 2.5 million residents.
Transportation.
The highway system isn't as vast as parts of the United States, but there is 11,000 kilometers of pave highways making links to the other states in Mexico. The road construction by the state government is following the plan called "Gran Vision- which will ultimately help connect the highlands communities with the rest of the state. These roads will bring a lot of help in transporting mining and lumber products. It will also encourage development across the region of Chihuahua. There are two international airports in Chihuahua, one being in Ciudad Juarez and the other in Chihuahua City. The airports have flights to other cities in Mexico but around the world around the world as well. Multiple airfields are located throughout Chihuahua. The railway system in Chihuahua is extensive. There are 2091 miles of track that help connect the cities with the United States, central Mexico, and the port of Topolobampo. The rail system isn't the only way Chihuahua is connected to the United States. There are seven border-crossing points. The City of Juarez has three that allow you to cross into El Paso. This makes a center of great commercial, industrial and tourist trade. Other border crossing points lead into New Mexico and other parts of Texas.
Education.
Citizens from all around Mexico tend to travel to Chihuahua for school. This is an important center of higher education. Around the state of Chihuahua, there are 6 universities and 145 technical schools. This allows people to be trained in different career paths for the present and beyond.
Economy.
The labor force in Chihuahua has almost exceeded one million people.
