The intriguing story begins at a crystal clear pond surrounded by tall palm trees. The trees rustled and quivered and it sounded quite like trouble was coming. Moments later trouble did appear, but in the large and masculine frame of Brad. Brad was quite tall for the average monkey, but it wasn't a disadvantage for him. He was always the first to be able to get dibs on the best bananas. Brad hunkered down to the pool until his face was almost level with the clear water. With a gigantic splash he washed his face and took a long sip of the fresh, cool liquid. After he finished his task, he let out a huge burp and scratched himself. Satisfied that he finished his daily hygiene habits, he shuffled, in that way that only monkeys can do, over to his surfboard where he left it, propped up against a tree.
He sighed. Brad loved to surf and hang with his buddies, but it was all getting kind of old. Most of his friends were dating and that was okay by him, but he didn't like watching his social life diminish with each new girl that his friends took out. It was becoming boring and he was getting lonely. "Man, wouldn't that be so rad if I can find a girl who's exactly like me?" he pondered aloud.
Then he trudged his way to the beach. No point in making his friends wait because he was feeling sorry about his life.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Island, Kittie was walking home from school. It was a Friday and she was glad that the weekend was here. Perhaps maybe she could get her friend Kat to go with her to a concert that night. Their favorite group, Mullet Monkeys, were going to be playing at The Rock Place and she wanted desperately to go. However, it all depended on her parents. Kittie hoped that they would let her take the car and let her drive. Lately it seemed that her parents weren't trusting her and she really wanted the freedom. Kittie took a deep breath when she walked up to the entrance of her house, prepared to do battle with her parents.
