a good man is hard to find

In spite of all this, the icing on the cake, is that even though she is a "devout Christian", she never questions why the Misfit killed her only son and the rest of her family, her only words to the Misfit were, "You wouldn't shoot a lady, would you?" Now what kind of sweet and loving Grandmother is that?.
Because of the Grandmother's scheming ways, I was constantly debating whose side I was on from beginning to end of the story. To tell the truth, I actually felt sorry for her when her son Bailey just ignored her when she was pestering him about why they shouldn't go to Florida. In addition to her only son ignoring her; her grandson, John Wesley had quite a disrespectful tongue on him. In one instance, she tried to get John Wesley on her side about where to vacation saying, "If you don't want to go to Florida, why dontcha stay at home?" (O"Connor 1955). Consequently; his sister June Star had an even larger and more disrespectful attitude when she gave her opinion by saying, "She wouldn't stay home to be queen for a day" (O"Connor 1955). In time little June Star with her "naturally curly" blonde hair opened her mouth yet again, only this time it was even more ill-mannered. When the family reached a stopping point in their drive, they had arrived at The Tower, a gas station/ restaurant. Here, they met Red Sammy Butts and as the author describes, his little old country wife, who adored little June Star. After seeing June Star perform a tap dance she said to her, "Ain't she cute? Would you like to come be my little girl?" Following that comment, cute little June Star had a comment of her own, "No I certainly wouldn't! I wouldn't live in a broken-down place like this for a million bucks!" In brief, I am disgusted with the way entire family lacks respect for elders and especially for one another, but then again who am I to judge?.
Last but not least, we have the wicked Misfit. Contrary to his name, my first impression of him was the most favorable.
