Child Labor during the 30's.
Our country is facing many problems domestically. There are people living in the streets, sleeping in drains. Those who can afford housing are over crowded and living in conditions not much better than those sleeping outside. Children are being forced to work in dangerous factories or at home just so that their family can afford a meal. These are serious matters that need discussion and solutions.
There are thousands and thousands of people sleeping outside, homeless in every major city. There needs to be shelter for these misfortunate people. They should be fed and clothed and given help to get back on their feet at the governments expense. It is possible that because of new laws passed or other regulations that they lost their jobs. Some might not have even received a proper education. They should be given the opportunity to correct any mistakes they made in their lives and be able to live out the rest of theirs happily.
In large cities the working class is a group of underpaid, over worked, malnourished and poorly sheltered families. The entire family must work so that there can be food on the table. Those fortunate enough to be able to afford so form of housing are often over crowed, cold and over charged. There needs to be some limit set to how many people can live in a house, How much a person is allowed to work and how much his or her employers pay him. Houses should be in good condition and not over priced. Financial aid should be made available for those who cannot afford it.
Child labor is an outrageous problem that needs to be immediately corrected. Children are forced to work in the worst conditions imaginable. Hundreds of children are killed each year by accidents at their work places. They are good workers because there fingers can fit between the sharp moving parts of the machines, that is until they get cut off.
