Corruption is lack of integrity or honesty. It is use of a position of trust to avail dishonest gains.
Corruption is spreading like tumor in the Indian society and eating into the vitals of our economy. It has affected people from the highest to the lowest, it has affected the rich and the poor, and it has affected one and all.
.
Till date many steps have been taken to combat the problem of corruption, but has there really been a decline in it.the answer is a big "NO".
.
We come across corruption almost everywhere be it daily necessities, schooling, work place, money markets, elections, retirement, and believe it or not even after dying!.
.
What does one do when one comes across corruption? Some turn a blind eye to it, some run away from it, some indulge in it .but there are a few who decide to fight against it.
So the big question is how can we prevent Corruption? .
Like the popular saying goes:.
"Sau mein se nabbe baiman phir bhi mera bharat mahan!".
So we cannot loose hope .
We cannot throw our hands in despair despite the bleak picture and cancerous growth of Corruption in the Indian society. The problem can by tackled by collective efforts of political leaders, government officials, voluntary organizations and us the citizens of India.
.
What is required utmost is the strong will power and efforts to make changes in the electoral systems, selection of clean candidates for contesting elections, fixing of accountability at various levels, strengthing of grievance machineries in all departments and a quick redressal of public complaints.
The aforesaid steps will not only eliminate corruption completely, which is deeply rooted in the Indian society but it will certainly help us in living in a less disgusting environment.
