How Achilleus and Hektor describe as a tragic figure

             .
Achilleus shows his tragic side again in book XVI. He allowed Patroklos, who is his good friend to replace him in the battle to help the losing Achaian army. But Achilleus reminded his friend to do no more than save their fellows and dont pursue the Trojans army all the way back to Troy so he can still get glory when he returns to the war. We can see that he didnt give up any chance to be honored. But his decision made Patroklos die in the war. He was killed by Hektor. At that moment, Achilleus's anger was transfer from Agamemnon to Hektor. He must return to the war and kill Hektor to revenge for Patroklos. He even didnt listen to his mother that he will die if he returns to the war. .
I think Achilleus is a tragic figure because all he wants to do was just to protect his honor and that made him for some misjudgments. Even though he refused to help his comrades out was because he think that it was not his fault but Agamemnon's. He couldnt accept to fight in a battle with the one who had disgraced him in the public. I realize that there must be s a big struggle in his mind to decide to help his comrades or not. Until he lost Patroklos, he became very angry and act immediately to revenge. He felt guilty for Patroklos's death because he thought it was his fault that if he return to the battle earlier, he might not die. But it was too late.
To Hektor, he was the prince of the Troy and also the commander of the army. He was the greatest warrior in Troy and the Achaian saw him as the biggest enemy. He was the kind of men who is not live on his own. He had many responsibilities for his people and the community. We can see this in Book VI, before he enters the war, his wife, Andromache beg him not to fight. "Please take pity upon me then, stay here on the rampart, that you may not leave your child an orphan, your wife a widow"(6.431). However, Hektor refused. "All these things are in my mind also, lady; yet I would feel deep shame before the Trojans"(6.
