Bill of Rights


In all cases the courts ruled that no one has to do anything against their religion.(Hickok 141) The press has also rarely been changed only for protection of the public. Finally the freedom to peacefully gather has not been challenged unless it was ruled as rebellious, such as a riot. This amendment guarantees all rights of personal beliefs and printing beliefs. .
             The second amendment reserves the right to bear arms. In early days all men could carry a gun for protection. Now as times change the safety of the public has been taken into consideration. The courts now have decided that the law states that only men in the militia can carry a weapon. (Weir 114) The only people who can legally carry a gun are people with permits and with in shown in complete sight. The second amendment does protect the county's freedom and protects the public too. .
             The third amendment protects the right of civilians' privacy concerning soldiers. A soldier may not stay with a civilian during peacetime or in a time of war. This is the only amendment that has not been changed nor challenged by anyone.(Anastople 92) It give civilians the freedom to reject anyone invading their house and property. .
             The fourth amendment also protects a persons right to privacy. It states that no one can enter or search a persons house without a valid search warrant given by the courts. In the past the amendment could be waiver when the search was extremely necessary at the moment. It remained that way until 1992 when the courts decided that warrants must be issued before the time of entry and search. (Hickok 172) It has remained unchanged and has protected the freedom of the public since. .
             The fifth amendment reserves the right to silence and from repeat cases. The fifth amendment reserves a person right to not hurt themselves by being a witness on their own trial or be stripped of property without a proper trial. This also says that a person may not be put in double jeopardy, on trail for the same crime twice.
