Our next character to be analyzed is Mouse. It is probably a little known fact that Mouse is somewhat like Cypher. You can read about him further down. Mouse is like him because he gave in to the needs and wants displayed in most humans still in the Matrix. He could not control his feelings of desire for "The Woman in the Red Dress". In fact, he died as a result of looking at her picture and not playing sentry in the house. This could have caused everyone else getting caught. If he had been on his guard and not paying attention to his little friend, everything else most likely would have been different. Another way he presented his givings in to the Matrix was when he was talking to Neo about food. He was trying to explain that the computers maybe couldn't figure out what chicken tasted like and the result is that everything tastes like it. He also asks Neo if he's ever had Tasty Wheat, forgetting the fact that no one ever could have for it does not really exist in the Matrix. Because of his willingness to be ignorant, he is the first to die in the Matrix. .
Now we are on to the characters Dozer and Tank. Dozer has a fairly lesser role. He probably didn't need to be in there at all. Like Switch, he was just a good one that died to make room for the heroes. The origin of Dozer's name is that its the end of bullDOZER which is a machine. He and Tank both die showing the beginning of the end of machines. Dozer could possibly merely representing dozing off or sleeping since he was the only there when Cypher shot his brother. Tank probably means a little bit more than Dozer does. This is why he didn't die in the first movie and Dozer does. We later find out in the second one that he did die later. His sister's husband, Link, eventually takes over his job. However, they don't explain what happened to Tank. This was actually the result of a glitch in the movie making business. The actor that played Tank didn't come back so they just changed the script a bit and added another character.
