            The debate on wheather or not people with mental illnesses should receive the same treatement or punishment as normal people is one of the most heated conflicts in modern society. Many people feel that people with mental illness cannot be held accountable for wrongdoings or mistakes they make due to their conditions. Other people feel that no people should be treated diffrently whether it be due to ethnicity, disablities, or finacial status. There are various arguments for both sides of the argument. If a person has the ability to determine right from wrong they should be able to abide the basic laws of society. Mentally challenged people should be held accountable for their actions. .
             There have been various cases throughout the country over the recent years pertaining to the argument of people with mental illness and if they can be held accountable for their actions due to their state of mind. Some of such cases have been brought to the Supreme Law of the Land the Supreme Court. Some cases have found that defendent not to be accountable for their actions due to their illness others have determined the defendent guilty and accountable for their actions. There are various arguments for both sides and the debate is as alilve as ever. .
             Many people belive that it is immoral and you cannot hold a mentally unstable person accountable for crimes due to their state of mind. Many people have illnesses which cause them to behave very eratically and they have no control over their actions. Other people don't have the ability to determine right from wrong and commite a crime without even knowing it. Mental Illness is a seirous condition and can have the potention to drive a person to do something crazy. Many people feel these reason enough not to hold people with mental illness acountable for thier actions. .
             Other people belive even if a person has a mental illness they can determine whats right from whats wrong and they should be held responsiable for what they do.
