Stress and Biofeedback

I feel particularly relaxed when I am listening to my favorite kind of music. Odd as it may sound, I love show tunes from many of the various plays on Broadway. For example, Phantom of the Opera, Rent, Kiss Me Kate, Oklahoma, La Manchuria, Miss Saigon, and Ten Naked Me, and Chicago are amongst my favorites. I also find the music of Luciano Pavarotti to be very calm and relaxing to me. .
The biodots were affected by temperature. If it was cool outside, it took them a little longer to warm up. Also, biodots are not used to measure anxiety. (Since it is the fall season, extremely warm temperatures were not a factor of interference with the biofeedback mechanisms). Through a few deep breathing exercises, I was able to keep my biodot readings at a constant level. It could be due to the fact I was all ready relaxed in the first place. It is evident that extreme illness will impact the stress levels of an individual. Mononucleosis leaves your body in a very fatigued state. You are drained physically and your body just aches all over. The duration of that particular illness varies from person to person. Trying to catch up on missed work can be brutal when you do not have the energy to concentrate to the best of your ability. Certain leadership positions also come with a lot of stress. Being a Resident Assistant is one of them. You are responsible for the welfare of all of your residents. On a single floor of a dormitory, you can have as many as 60 or so people. That certainly is a lot of responsibility. Sometimes the demands we face at work begin to take a toll on our stress levels. This is particularly noted when an individual works a "double- shift. Over exhausting ourselves is not a good thing. It certainly can lead to larger health issues later in life such as "burn out- et cetera. .
It has been observed that these so called biodots are not really accurate because they work only on the external surface and measure only slight changes in body temperature.
