Bombingham

In the story Bombingham by Anthony Grooms, he tells us the story of the civil rights movement in Birmingham and how it affected every colored family. He focused it on one family and how they struggled through the hard times of it even though they were having familyproblems.
Anthony told us the story of this colored family and their fight through the civil .
rights movement through their eleven year old son's point of view. Some people may think that this story was affected by being told through a child's point of view because some of the events that happened during the civil rights movement just can't be told from a child's point of view, they need an adult's point of view because they would be able to recall the events that happened then. I don't think that this story was affected by using a child's point of view it makes it so we would be able to understand it more and it lets us wonder how it really was for colored families back then.
If this story were told from an adult's point of view it would cover a lot more .
events that happened during the civil rights movement. I think that it would be a lot harder for kids to understand because there is a lot more happening in an adult's mind then in a child's. I would still probably read it if it were told through an adult's point of view.
I think that this story gains things by using a childs point of view. I think it gains .
peoples attention by using that kind of view by making you wonder about all the things that really happened years before the civil rights movement.
By reading Bombingham it makes you think about how bad colored people had .
it back then and how things have drastically changed since then. Whites and blacks actually can talk to each other and attend the same things white people do without being killed or abused be being made fun of or name calling. There is still racism now but not as much as there was back during the years before the civil rights movement.
