, 2000).
Although death can often be feared strongly by people, Judaism aims to depict death as merely the "doorway" to another part of life (Lovat, et al., 2000). This helps people to understand why they must die, and helps to ease the pain of bereavement.
EVIL AND SUFFERING.
Jews have many possible reasons for evil and suffering in the world. It is sometimes seen as testing from God, punishment for sins or failing to live the covenant, or a result of human abuse of free will.
Although the Jews have suffered a great deal throughout history, they remain faithful to God and aspire to live the covenant fully. This leads to the conclusion that although they may not understand why there is evil and suffering in the world, they believe that their God will grant them rewards for living a good life and so they remain faithful even during times of great hardship. (Suffering & Evil: Jewish Thinking on a Universal Problem [06/04/03]).
Judaism may not specify a completely adequate answer to the question of evil and suffering in the world, but nevertheless its followers maintain their attempts to remain faithful. This implies that its strength in answering other fundamental religious questions is great enough to compensate for a less detailed explanation on this particular question. All the same, this question is not sufficiently answered in this particular belief system.
ISLAM.
LIFE.
Muslims do not believe in reincarnation. That is, they believe that they have only one life to live on this earth. There is only one God, who is all-powerful. He created the world, starting with Mecca, the "navel" of the world, and has a complete, divine plan for the world. Even so, He allows room for individual freedom. If humans do not live the way He has shown as the right way through the Prophet, Muhammad, however, when they are questioned on how they lived their life they will be rewarded accordingly. That is, if they submit to the temptation of self will and diverge from the right way, their lives will lack meaning and final purpose and, eventually, if they do not correct their actions, will lead to an afterlife in hell.
