             The composition could be improved by changing colors so that the shades and tints would be more subtle in areas to bring out more depth. The movement could be improved I feel that the images are a bit stiff feeling.
             4) The course booklet stated, "The goal of this course is to help the future classroom teachers to integrate the visual arts into the standard areas of classroom studies." I feel that the goal was stated well because of the many highly important aspects pertaining to art when applied to the education of children which were covered in the course objectives.
             The purpose of art education when pertaining to children is to aid them when dealing with abstract thought development by way of bringing them into visible form or symbols. The symbols and forms represent our environment. Art projects are a product not only of learning but of sharing which can suggest how a child feels, sees, and thinks. .
             Before this class I had grounded concepts of the elements of art such as primary and secondary colors: shading, cool, warm, bright, dark, light, etc. I also understood the properties of texture. When it came to the principles of art I wasn't as knowledgeable. I understood symmetry but had no concept of emphasis when it came to developing works that led the eye or of pieces having focal points and dominant areas. I was also educated in the particular areas of movement and variety.
             I've learned that the process of and art project for a child is more important than the final product. Children not only draw what they see, feel, and have experienced but also act as a part of their art. They sometimes liberally change things without trying to conceal emotions.
             Aesthetics is very important when dealing with any art form music, dance, writing, etc. The idea that an interaction that a person has with objects that will create a positive experience is crucial for a child to know and understand first hand and I believe that young children, particularly the disabled, are all able to derive this sense from art.
