After three square meals a day, some basketball, a good lift and some fresh air, maybe some cable television before hitting the hay in a comfortable bed, what criminal wouldn't want this life? Without any worries, no bills or money collectors, and on behalf of the tax paying citizens, you can go see a movie while eating popcorn in a movie theater, play video games, and participate in countless other activities while enjoying peace of mind. .
Granted, in some prisons you have to watch your back, but for the most part, the benefits most certainly outweigh the problems associated with prisons.
As governor of this fine state of North Dakota, I would like to see that those who take away the freedoms of others also be reaped of theirs. I am talking about bringing back capital punishment, or as some know it, the death penalty. This would not only satisfy my request, but it would also cut our budget costs down in the long run. Then finally the average taxpayer could enjoy a little more of their hard earned money and save us the trouble of giving it away.
I realize there are many issues upon this subject, including moral ones, but I feel this is something that needs to be done. As you read on, you will see why we need to bring it back to the state. I realize capital punishment is an extreme penalty, but it is used to correct extreme crimes. It has been used for hundreds of centuries from before Christ to now. The old version of the death penalty was used for strange crimes such as marrying a Jew, treason, or stealing, or even cutting down a tree. .
Capital punishment today is more humane, though, with new methods like lethal injection and the electric chair compared to old ways like drawing and quartering, the guillotine, and boiling the guilty to death.
