To minimize the element of group-think, I will appoint a "Devil's Advocate". This person will point out all mistakes or drawbacks of any ideas put forward. I will also produce questionnaires each week to hand out individually to all members of the board. They are to complete these questionnaires in private, and hand them straight to me. The 10 members of the board will also be appointed into "buddies". This means is that they will discuss ideas in groups of 2-5, depending on the situation, and then put forward the groups ideas to the entire board. At the end of every meeting, I will interview each member individually to discuss his or her ideas and thoughts about the meeting. All of these doings will help to minimize group-think, which is a major burden on all, and will only mar progress. .
To ensure proper conductivity I will enforce a just system of punishments and rewards. This promotes increased productivity and provides morale. Punishments will be given for wasting time, not meeting dates and the like. They will be in the form of staying late nights, pay cuts (for severe incidents) and going to bed without dinner. .
Rewards will come to all those who work extra, provide helpful information, work as a team in proper situations and as an individual in others, and so forth. Rewards will include pay rises, early home time, promotions (for extremely good incidents) and ordering take out for a board meeting. .
For some situations, I will split the board into two or more groups, and have them both working on the same task, this will promote competition and thus will make them work harder. Both teams will receive pay for their efforts and any helpful assets brought about, but the winner will receive a prize in the form of a bonus.
If the board is having troubles, or even if the situation calls for it, a helper from outside will be called to light.
