There are many people in the world that think nothing really matters. They have a "life is short and then you die" type of philosophy. If we think like that, then there is no point to life. That is unless we determine what life is and what we want to do with it. We are all brought up in a similar way, we learn to communicate, express our feelings, and learn something new everyday in the hopes of improving our lives for the better. We work to earn money to survive, support our families, and we try to be the best at what we do. If we didn't do any of that, our lives would be depressing and pointless. However, we all have the opportunity to make our lives have a larger meaning. Everyone has the possibility of being a part of a social or political movement that might benefit the lives of future generations. For example a scientist might achieve this through his work. Today scientists are working on cures for many deadly diseases, which would improve the lives of countless numbers of victims. .
Thus in my opinion, there is a different meaning of life for different individuals. This explains why we all have different professions and why we are all different from each other. From a religious point of view, God created us all but he made sure that we were all different with something unique that separates us from one another. We are free in choosing which direction we will take with our lives and the final decision is dependent upon our own personal circumstances. That is to say, there are many roads that we can take in determining our life's course but it's what we do with it that determines its ultimate meaning. .
