Relgion and Music

It is what comes to us naturally we just love rock-.
Some however, who argue that rock music is inappropriate when it comes to educating people about Jesus Christ. They believe that Rock Music is wrong and immoral for Christians, especially the extreme forms of it (while the idea of Death Metal Christians, sounds quite ridiculous, make no mistake: they do exist). However Steve Monro argues that Rock Music is perfectly acceptable because it's a way of getting to the younger people and making them believe in the power of Jesus Christ. It also creates an atmosphere were these artists can try new innovative, individual ideas. It also allows Christianity to be up to date with the world and its needs. Therefore Contemporary Christian Rock is not only growing genre, but also one, which adapts to the needs of a changing society.
Knowing the reason behind why these artists choose rock music, we need to recognise, how do they use this music to create their emotional effect? To do this we need to examine the content of their songs, musical and lyrical. Contemporary Rock Music incorporates the use of new, innovative techniques, and also embraces technology. Bands use things such as expression pedals, dropped-down tunning of instruments, inventive chords and changes in rhythm and tempo, all of which are used in Contemporary Rock Music. These all create the profound effect that they hope to achieve. They can create a slow, euphoric mood, where the feelings of love, joy and salvation are enhanced, they can create that mood of passion and enthusiasm of being Christian, in a very secular society, or they can produce a fierce, brutal, feeling aimed at rejecting and challenging the negative aspects of our world, such as suicide and how these are weak pathetic attempts to escape a life, which as bad as it can be, is able to be repaired through faith in Christ.
These songs are also very powerful lyric and content wise.
