It still had a huge impact on society with what you call all the flower children.".
a. What did you think about drugs and did it have a big impact on society?.
"It was big, but I didn't see it, I didn't really have any desire to do it. The thing I see is what led people down the road was the addiction, its so easy to slip into, but so hard to shake it.".
6. What was your reaction to the activism of Black Muslims or Black Panthers such as Malcolm X?.
" I thought they were a people with a good cause but not a peaceful means, and through those means made more people hate them. That isn't the way and I was rather fearful. I don't agree with their approach.".
7. How did the media through the movies, TV, and scientific and Medical advancement impact American society?.
"The media gets a little impressed with their own personal ideas. Is the purpose of the media to tell you the news or is he supposed to put his own ideas in there? I think not. One example was the Tetan offensive of 1968 in Vietnam. I had just left in November but we could tell things were changing, and the North Vietnamese were down with the Viet Kong in the south but the media would say that no one was in the south. We would be dominating the Viet Kong, and the media would tell that we had to get out of there and that is was so awful.".
-What about other scientific and medical advancements?.
"Everybody thinks he deserves to live forever, so if there's anything out there that can cure them, then you get it. How do you pay for it? You get the resources to accomplish it. I had plastic lenses in each of my eye. I would have some problems and almost no peripheral vision, so 40 years ago they couldn't do that operation needed to fix it. But 20 years ago they did and the quality of life and being able to see is incredible.?.
8. What was your favorite type of music?.

"I like all types of music. I like a lot of the old popular stuff that I had when I was growing up.
