God does however have reasons for allowing evil to exist. It is believed that He granted all of us a free will. By having a free will we are responsible for our actions. We are not the victims necessarily. We as the human race, are the "creators" of evil, causing individuals to become victims in recompense for evil. We are free to choose among many things. Our choices bare consequences including the production of evil. Our decisions are all part of a greater plan in a hope to achieve happiness through the knowledge of and from evil.
First of all, in order for evil to exist, there must be a presence of goodness to reciprocate it. This "goodness" is most commonly represented as a God. Goodness in a sense created evil and vice versa because without evil, there would be no goodness. If you never experienced evil, you would never know what goodness was. God, however did not create evil, he created goodness. We created evil. .
Evil is a lack of perfection that is the fault of humans. We create evil through our own free will in order to receive selfish goodness. Evil exists in order for us to live our lives so as to ensure our moral character is steadfast. Only then can we achieve our true happiness. Freedom is the outcome of our free will to do good or evil. Without both, we have neither. For example, we can have both good and bad days. Without our bad days, we wouldn't know what a good day was. .
We are responsible for our actions and therefore are the source of our own happiness. Evil is unavoidable and so we are to make ourselves capable of taking control of our actions in order to achieve a greater good through bad or "evil" situations. When overcoming evil, we may attain personal accomplishments. When we use evil as a stepping stone we can learn from our mishaps and work together with friends and others to bind our relationships. In cases such as these, goodness is better appreciated because the evil that has been dispatched is recognized as conquered.
