Review:Kids In The Hall

It was clever (Spain and France are notorious for this kind of behavior) and kind of outlandish (what on earth DO they want with this man's chest?), it was well written and simply filmed (it had no set, except for the hospital bed).
"Thirty Helen's Agree: Honesty Is The Best Policy".
This was the second Helen skit in the show. A couple important things to remember about the Helen's: they were always in that open field, and most often, the Helen's remained almost exactly the same (a few were most likely replaced, but the ones that talked often were usually the same women). In this sketch they agree that honesty is the best policy, especially when it comes to marriage. This sketch is a really good example of the progression of the Helen sketches. The lines between individual Helen's are more clever and witty than the last sketch, and had more of a personality.
             "Cabbage Head: Wants A Date".
Cabbage Head (McCulloch) is a recurring character, who lives up to his name: his head is made of cabbage. He is, to be exact, a sleazy guy, which is a large part of his humor and appeal. He's the kind of guy you love to hate and in this sketch (accompanied by the rest of the group) tries many unsavory ways to win over women that he can think of. cabbage head never does succeed at this. This is a good sketch because everyone knows a guy just like Cabbage Head- a guy who tries too hard and it doesn't really impress anyone. The idea is well composed, although the writing seems a bit forced at times, but the acting is done remarkably well and helps make the rough spots seem more natural. .
             "Impromptu Tractor With Kids".
This scene, featuring Mark McKinney and ten kids has very little dialogue- just an introduction that the kids are going to spontaneously, and without rehearsal, salute the tractor. The kids run off and get painted cardboard boxes and put them on over there clothes and assemble a human tractor.
