In John Steinbeck The Snake, the author uses imagery to describe the mystic woman. He uses the color black to describe the woman's appearance. "She was dressed in a severe dark suit "her straight black hair was mussed as though the wind had been blowing it. Her black eyes glittered in the strong light-. The use of black implies evil, sinister, dark this showed me that what ever she was going to say too Dr. Phillip was not going to be pleasant. Also, the sound of the woman's voice was soft, but it never got louder even though Dr. Phillip yelled at her. Her movements were unnatural; she stayed at rest on an uncomfortable chair during the time she was waiting for Dr. Phillip, but when she did move he couldn't hear her moving. "He nervously turned his head. The woman was standing beside him. He had not heard her get up from the chair-. In conclusion, the author describes the mysterious woman in an excellent way. I even had a dream one night about this woman being in my house I was frightened. .
