The biggest impact that music has in today's age is on the teen population. Music is a way for teens to get away from the everyday stresses of lives and find someone or something they can relate to. For example when I want to leave my daily chores and relax I tend to listen to music, which allows me to think, relax, and keep my mind busy while doing virtually nothing.
This trend has helped many kids see different aspects of life. I have listened to songs from love all the way to suicide. Kids who have had problems may want to listen to someone else who has had the same problem and see what they think and have to say in their songs about it and this is usually where role models are formed.
Society can't say music doesn't have an impact on people because if it didn't it wouldn't be around us everywhere we go, from stores to cars, and elevators music has an effect on the way we react and the mood we are in. This is why I believe music is the most powerful and influential art form around.
