Everyday, members of society are attacked or violently acted upon while going to work, going to school, going out socially, and many people are victims of violence within out own home. The sources of violence in out society many come to mind. One may say violence is simply an unavoidable part of human nature. It is a popular opinion to blame the media as the culprit for violence in out society. The media may relate to the public what occurs within it's own soeiety, or cater to the public with violent entertainment, the media itself, is not to blame for all the violence in our society. .
During the twentieth century that forms and influences of the media have expanded and gained popularity as technology progressed. Though there were effective forms of media prior to the twentieth century it never had it had the expansion power as it does today. .
We as a society today are so overwhelmed with negative news on Television and the radio that we are leery to express our viewpoints. Parents are so preoccupied with providing for the family that they do not sit with their children and discuss anything the kids never learn how to communicate and accept others criticism. Also the Internet given us the chance to communicate with others with out really face to face conversion.
The media overwhelms us with scenes violence that we fear retaliation if our viewpoints differ from that of other. The attack on America is a perfect example of this. You can not turn a television on or listen to the radio with out hearing something about the Trade center destruction.
Parents are so wrapped up in work that most do not take the time to sit with children to discuss their day. So the children never really learn how to communicate their felling on events that have happened throughout the day. .
The movie and television industry is becoming more violent and more risky. The violence in movies, video games, and news has gotten out of hand.
