I have three main goals set for me to accomplish in the next four years. Hard work and perseverance will help me attain these goals.
First, I want to work towards a 3.0 GPA and maintain that GPA throughout my four years at the academy. To achieve this goal I know I will have to work very hard. I will have to do hours of homework, something I am not used to doing. My second goal is to graduate from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a job in order that will set me for life. I would like this job to have great security, a high starting pay, and I would like the job to be fun for me. I don't know what that job will be but I look forward to discovering it. I am sure as the years go on here at this academy I will find out what my dream job is and fulfill my goal. After getting my great job my final goal is to raise my social class level. I want to be known as one of those rich people that you know are rich just because of how they look. I don't want to live in a small house like I did when I was growing up. I want to live in a mansion. The driveway should be so long leading up to my house that the house can not be seen from the front gates. I want to drive around in my very expensive luxury car, and have my 250 thousand dollar Lamborghini sitting in my five-car garage at home. I would also like to have a full-time maid or servant at my house because I am very lazy. I will pay someone very well to do the housework so I don't have to. .
In my first goal, writing, speaking, and communicating will all contribute to obtaining my goals. These skills will all influence my schoolwork. Using these skills I will get the 3.0 GPA I need to make it though this school and graduate in four years with a systems engineering degree. Communication is going to be the biggest skill that I will have to use to make my 3.0 GPA. I am going to have to communicate with teachers and classmates because I believe no one makes it through this school with out help.
