The amount of people in the Iraqi army, air force, and navy are a lot smaller than the amount in the Persian Gulf War. The military arsenal was severely exhausted during the Gulf War, and has never been returned to its initial capacity. If and when the United States chooses to fight Iraq, the war should be similar to the war in Afghanistan, such that there will be few casualties. In the Persian Gulf War, the United States fought strong military forces and prevailed. The United States was "singled out" when it was attacked on September 11, and it is expected that Saddam will attack the United States, before anyone else. Being the world's most powerful country, the United States is the most likely target and they should begin attacking and not wait for the other countries to see eye to eye with the United States when they are not as concerned as the United States to be attacked. The more responsible thing for the United States to do is to attack Saddam and the Iraqi army before they acquire a nuclear weapon and use if on innocent people. The United States has been individually attacked and will be threatened if Saddam gets a nuclear weapon, and therefore if the United Nations does not conclude to attack Iraq, then it is solely up to the United States to get the job done.
Saddam Hussein is the future owner of a nuclear bomb. He is months away from getting enriched uranium and accumulating a nuclear weapon. With a nuclear bomb, and the rest of his weapons of mass destruction, Saddam is a threat to the entire world. Once Saddam's task of attaining a nuclear weapon is completed, millions of people could suddenly be killed with a quick decision. The only way to successfully disarm him, the United States and the rest of the world should be willing to go to war and take him and his entire army out. The Iraqi army is supporting Saddam and therefore should be killed along with Saddam's relatives and close allies.
