Over the centuries, man has revolutionised, and developed, improving our intelligence, appearance and health care to better the man kind. As time went on, more and more technology was being introduced into the world. More inventions were being invented. More ideas were becoming reality, replacing people to make industry more efficient.
Technology has allowed man to become superior to all his fellow creatures. It has a civilizing aspect to it, where man is able to create great things, with his/her mind. .
It is true that technology has brought negative effects upon our society. Cities run by powerful, bloodthirsty executive committees, seeking to increase their profit margin by providing a surplus amount of goods for the people, but at the same time will deplete the earth of its natural resources and stability. Many of today's factories have begun to use artificial- intelligence to replace thousands of workers worldwide. Robot machines that produce a better product in a shorter span of time. Is the world on the brink of yet another industrial revolution, that's going to take a turn for the worst? Perhaps. However, the technology itself is not responsible for these problems, but rather the way people use it. Negative effects arise from new technology, only because the production of harmful technological advances is not controlled by the government. The government regulates laws, and set limits as to what is acceptable in society. That includes the mass production of nuclear bombs. Unfortunately, the treat of a nuclear war is present as we speak .
As fictional as this may sound, if we are not careful we may face the matrix scenario, because people abuse technological privileges.
When comparing positive effects to negative ones, it is absurd to think that more harm than good came of technological advances, within society. It's the people running the society that are the problem, because they are not regulating production of dangerous inventions properly.
