Hitler and the Rise of Nazi Germany

As Germany searched the world for band-aids and tissues to heal her national wounds after a brutalizing treaty of Versailles, a young man was lurking in the shadows plotting his rise to power. This young man by the name of Hitler planned to bring Germany wealth and world power. Soon he would lead an extreme right-winged party, the Nazi's, straight to the top of the German government. The first attempt at gaining control took place in southern Germany and was for the most part a failure. It soon found Hitler in jail, writing "Mein Kampf" (My Struggle) an autobiographical outline of his knowledge and basic ideas. The weak and frail Weimar Republic would soon see a Nazi uprising nobody was prepared for.
The Nazi party, or more easily known by Hitler, their leader, came to power in 1933, but the road there was filled with many promises, most of which Hitler and the Nazi party kept. For one, Hitler promised to bring Germany out of the depression caused by World War I, and to erase distinctions between classes. One such promise stated that he aimed to have every family in Germany own an automobile. Although unrealistic, it painted his campaign with beautiful colors that the German people favored. Hitler and the Nazi party swore to keep Communism out of Germany, as to protect the land and wealth of the German people.
Propaganda and twisting of the German minds could easily be the biggest reason why the Nazi party came to power in Germany. Hitler shook hands with old men, and kissed babies. He charmed the ladies and became the idol of all little boys. Because of all this, Hitler became a very attractive man, drawing attention on an unprecedented scale. The Nazi's also used terror propaganda in the form of the SA (Storm Troops). These units secretly forced people to vote in favor of the Nazi party, and took out main opposition to guarantee a successful election.
When Hitler was named chancellor on January 30, 1933, the outlook of staying in power was excellent.
