had a teacher been given 48 hours a day by God? How a teacher could do the job and how a teacher could act as a human with lots of responsibilities at the same time? My father and my mother were teachers. They were my good examples of being both teacher and human in one time. I know that a teacher is a person who goes about teaching. On the average, a teacher will have to teach for several periods. I still remember when I sat beside my father and saw him did some drawing on the manila card. Later, I understood what was it for. Teacher would have lots of preparations to do before entering the classes to teach.
As usual, when father came home, I saw he brought along the pile of exercise books. I asked him why he brought the book home. He told me that the books were to be checked and marked. I was unsure why sometimes he took hours to mark the books. He told me that a teacher must be diligent. Otherwise, there might be some mistakes in marking and the students might not satisfy with the answer. Father would try his best to mark and skim the book over as quickly as he could to spend time with us. The whole process of examining took a lot of efforts and time. One day, my father told me, "Dear daughter, when you've grown up, please be better than me." At that moment, I thought he asked me to find other job when I grow up but I was wrong. When I applied for being in one of the teachers" training colleges, he was the one who cried in joy and supported me. I realised that he wanted me to be a better teacher.
Most of my siblings become teachers. Both my older sisters are sisters. It is a normal situation in previous time and now to see my father, my mother and now my sisters to prepare questions for the monthly test. There are mid-year examinations and final examinations to prepare for. I think, I am "well-trained" enough to do this and I am willing to put all my efforts on this sacred job.
There are lots of things to look after to ensure that everything goes on without a hitch.
