A Lesson From Life

As a recent experience confirmed:Anything that comes easy, comes wrong.? All had began with the approach of a new school year, the spirits of the East Brunswick Bears were diffusing from hallway to hallway within the school building; sportsmanship came to its peak. This was the time when I decided to become more involved and join the track team with the impression that running was a God-given talent held by all. Many track runners seemed to think otherwise, but the possibility that running could fit well with one group of people over others just never occurred to me. The world turned upside down and my perception changed as quickly as the snap of a finger with the progression of the tryouts. Only then did I realize that runners seemed to be flickering in and out of existence like fireflies on the field only because of dedication and hard work. I thought that I liked to run, but the truth of the matter was that I liked to watch others run. Such a rough road to reality emphasizes that through experience only can the true difficulty of anything be understood. Starting off with the impression that something is simple steers those involved into the wrong directions. Likewise, the results of the track tryouts wouldn't have held such a surprise in store for me if I had known what to expect. Holding an undemanding mindset before the start of an obstacle leads one further from reaching their goal into a whirlwind of destruction. With anticipating the worst is it only possible to come a long way on that road that never ends, the path of life. .
