This movie is about an out of control alcoholic and drug addict. She thought she had everything and that life was great, nothing else was important but drinking and partying. One night she and her boyfriend Jasper were partying hard as usual when they came home and were all over each other. They set a fire in the apartment and were so drunk they put it out with alcohol. The next morning they woke up late Gwen realizing that it was the day of her sisters wedding. When she first got up she got a beer like it was breakfast. The whole way to the cab they were both drinking. Inside the cab they were drinking. When they finally made it to the Chapel they were 45 minutes late. At the reception Gwen and Jasper continued their drinking speed. To make matters worse they started dancing crazy and causing attention to themselves. Gwen falls into the wedding cake already drunk she tells her sister that she will get another one. She walks out taking off her dress getting into a near by limo and driving off in just her slip. Since she's impaired her driving is unbelievable. While she's driving she tries to call and find a cake place. She misses hitting two cars. When she looks down for something she dropped. She hits a lawn gnome and runs into a houses porch. .
Instead of going to jail a judge sentences her to 30 days in a rehabilitation center. When she first gets there she realizes that it's not a joke. They are not allowed to have cell phones, pills, or anything sharp. Gwen gets roomed with this girl who is only 17. The first night there she experiences a little withdrawl and wakes up in the bathroom. The following day she gets to meet the other members of her "group" and they are all different. She learns that everyone has chores and they have to clean there rooms and talk to counselors. At the center they aren't allowed to have caffeine or mood affecting things. When Jasper comes to visit her she tells him to bring her some Vikaden.
